What actually transforms a human being?

I have carried this question since my teens through Christian devotion, yoga, and years of searching. My present practice is rooted in the Thai Forest tradition; from that ground, I write about attention, desire, and lasting change in ordinary life.

The Journey

A Life of Practice

My search began in my teens. Christian prayer and a year with the Franciscans shaped my devotion; yoga taught me to attend to the body. After a year hiking in Banff, I spent close to six months at Birken Forest Monastery. My present practice is rooted in the Thai Forest tradition, tested daily in work, marriage, and fatherhood.
